I Laugh udforsker Antonia Baehr fænomenet latter som et selvstændigt udtryk, uafhængigt af det der normalt udløser den – vitserne, humoren, historierne. Antonia Baehr stiller skarpt på latteren i sig selv, på dens lyd og form, dens koreografi og drama, dens rytme og bevægelse. Hun gør det ikke for at være sjov, men latter er kendt for at have en uundgåelig bivirkning; den smitter.

[UK] Laugh by German performance artist Antonia Baehr has been a cult hit on the European arts scene since its debut at Les Laboratoires d'Aubervilliers in France in 2008. Throughout the piece Antonia Baehr explores laughter as a sovereign entity, separate from what causes it - jokes, tickles, narrative, humor, and joy - looking at the thing itself: the sound and shape, the music, choreography and drama, the rhythm and the gesture of laughter. Comedy is not her goal, but contamination is an unavoidable by-product that sometimes contagiously trades sides of the ‘fourth wall’.
